The Grape Pumpkin?

Greatpumpkin

October 12-13 is important to us, but it's also a big, big weekend in Hammondsport. It's Homecoming weekend, and the Hammondsport Grape Pumpkin Festival is taking place the day of our wedding!  The good news is, that will be really fun and will guarantee some great photos and fun for our guests.  You can get your face painted, stomp some grapes, even take a hay ride!

The bad news is, the proverbial "Village Square," where we've given instructions to meet for the wine tour and the wedding shuttle, will be crawling with people and vendors and tents and chaos.  We are trying hard to work out an alternate pick-up location with the Village offices and the (one-man) Police Dept.

Please stay tuned to this blog, and our web site, for udpated information. We'll post it as soon as we know it.  You may have to spread the word to other family and friends to make sure no one gets left behind.

We wouldn't want anyone to miss the wedding fesitivities.  But, if you show up at our ceremony with a pumpkin in your hand or your face painted, we'll know you're having a great weekend really enjoying Hammondsport!

Just when you thought everything was going perfectly! All plans in place.
Don't worry, we'll adjust to whatever is necessary. Glad you are on top of this.
Maybe we should all get our faces painted!
Love, Gail/Mom

Marti,
The photos are amazing!! Of course you look amazing with any point and shoot, but this guy must be a genius to get my brother to look that good! : )
Seriously, you both look so good together I couldn't help but catch myself smiling.
See you next week!
Jim

My Photo

Becoming Left-Handed

  • The moment my best friend of 6 years and boyfriend of exactly 365 days slipped a diamond ring on my finger in late 2006, my world changed. When the ring went to the jeweler for a fitting a few days later, my left hand suddenly felt naked without a ring that hadn't even been mine for a week!

Throughout the next 13 months, the process of transitioning from independent single girl to committed wife literally felt, at times, like switching from right- to left-handed.

Our wedding day was the happiest of my life. This blog tells my story of getting to that day. I hope you find part of your story here, too.
